Our client is the voice of the European investment management industry at European and global level. It represents around 25 member associations, 60 corporate and 25 associate members. To join its Economics and Research team, we are looking for an Economist – 5 to 7 years’ experience.

The position:

• Analysing European and international developments in the area of investment funds and asset management; 
• Taking responsibilities for the preparation of the association’s annual publications (Fact Book and Report); 
• Writing research notes and political position papers to support the association’s objectives;
• Undertaking research projects of relevance to the European investment management industry (financial integration, fund classification, saving market, fund fees and performance, etc.);
• Providing economic input to the political and technical papers published by the Association;
• Carry out other duties as required.

The profile:

• University degree with strong Economics and Finance orientation; 
• Minimum five years of work experience, ideally in financial services; 
• Proven analytical and drafting skills; 
• Ability to interpret statistical data and to recognize trends;
• Proven experience in developing research; 
• Native command of English, knowledge of additional languages considered an asset; 
• Analytical mind and high intellectual capacity; 
• Qualities of impartiality, flexibility and team spirit.
