The role

We are currently seeking a talented trainers to be nominated and to work closely with our other specialists to our TONGA Climate Resilience Sector Project proposal.
Five trainers of trainers (TOT) will be required to support the PMU to deliver a series of training courses on: i) Climate Adaptation of Infrastructure, ii) Climate Change Finance and Corporate Budgeting, iii) Climate Change Adaptation and Community Disaster Risk Assessments, iv) Environmental Impacts Assessment and v) Climate Change and Coastal Monitoring. The TOTs will have advanced academic qualifications in a subject related to the specific course. They will be recognized experts in their respective fields and have experience in both the formulation and presentation of training courses in the required subjects. The TOTs will have practical experience of working in the Pacific on Climate Change Adaptation and/or Disaster Risk Management initiatives preferably in Tonga. The five specialists will include:
a. TOT in Climate Proofing Infrastructure (1 p-m)
b. TOT on Climate Change Finance and Corporate Budgeting (1 p-m)
c. TOT on Climate Change and DRM Community Assessments (2 p-m)
d. TOT on Environment Impact Assessments (1 p-m)
e. TOT on Climate Change Monitoring and Coastal Protection (1 p-m)
