The role

We are currently seeking a Survey Technician with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our Western Sydney office (Campbelltown). 
You will work on different types of development projects. Your key responsibilities will be to:
  • Carry out necessary field and office calculations for the project and preparation of data
  • Liaise with other production personnel on the project
  • Ensure that all administrative items relating to the project are completed, eg. time sheets, reports, etc
  • Look after and maintain vehicles and equipment, including calibration of equipment
  • Perform quality checks and send feedback, information on corrective/preventive actions.
With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
Suitable applicants will have/be:
  • Diploma in Surveying and/or Diploma in GIS
  • 5+ years of experience in Surveying
  • The ability to maintain and promote both company image and client focus at all times
  • The ability to perform normal surveying work under supervision from a higher level professional Surveyor
  • The ability to exercise individual judgement and initiative in the application of surveying principles, techniques and methods.  Discussions are related to tasks performed, relying upon precedent or defined procedures for guidance
  • Excellent communication skills are essential to be successful in this position.
