Key Communication Manager’s Responsibilities

  • Lead the Communication Team (8 people) in order to:
    • Analyse the communication needs for each project;
    • Streamline corporate and project communication policies;
    • Coordinate the events teams (4 major European events per year, up to 250 participants);
  • Present at certain events;
  • Oversee the quality of external suppliers who are contracted to work on communication activities;
  • Streamline current procedures related to editing, translation, video production, printing & graphic design;
  • Support the Executive Director on corporate communication & advocacy activities (including those directed to the EU);
  • Collaborate with the IT Team (6 people) in order to:
    • Define necessary technical developments for the various communication activities;
    • Define a consistent policy specifying the technical tools to be used in the office for both staff & projects;
  • Member of Management Team.

Communication Manager’s Profile

  • Master’s Degree + 10 years relevent Communication Experience;
  • Excellent English (written & spoken);
  • Multicultural team management experience;
  • Experience in project management;
  • EU grant & service contract experience is an asset;
  • Good knowledge of European education & training policies & their European programme mechanisms;
  • Good understanding of EU funded programmes (e.g. Horizon 2020 & Erasmus +);
  • Good understanding of web development, social media, database/information system technologies & related information tools via interacting with IT teams;
  • Some travel required.
