Over 48% of the current global population is fed thanks to the use of mineral fertilizers.
We currently seek an experienced Agriculture and Environment Managerto join our team.
Fertilizers Europe represents the interests of the European fertilizer industry. We are the source of information on fertilizers and the sector’s voice in Europe. We deal with questions related to agriculture, environment, technology, safety, economy and trade, as well as supporting our members with statistics and other information.
Our offices are located in Brussels and we have a multi-cultural team of 12 staff members.

Your challenges:

  • Manage and coordinate activities in areas of agriculture and environment;
  • Develop strategies and positions on relevant policies;
  • Drive and manage projects in relation to resource efficiency, environment and good agricultural practice;
  • Follow scientific debate on fertilizers and nutrients;
  • Engage in activities involving the food-chain;
  • Communicate with EU-institutions and other stakeholders;
  • Manage and supervise policy officer;
  • Report directly to the Director General.

Your key skills:

  • University degree in agriculture or related subject, preferably including economics;
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant post-degree experience, of which 5 years working with relevant association, administration or sales and marketing within a company;
  • Experience in public relation/lobbying;
  • Experience in managing international projects or networks;
  • Knowledge of fertilizer sector and its contributions to agriculture a plus;
  • Fluency in spoken and written English a necessity, other major European languages like German, French, Polish and Spanish a plus.

  • Very good interpersonal relationship skills;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Ability to travel (approx. 2-3 short trips per month).
