Emergency Response Personnel- Food Security and Livelihoods Adviser

With the increasing frequency and severity of emergencies world-wide the organisation is increasing its capacity to support programmes in both sudden onset and chronic emergency situations.
Save the Children UK are looking for experienced, committed and energetic Food Security and Livelihoods Experts to join our Emergency Response Personnel team (ERP). In the meantime,we are also aiming at growing our FS&L roster for surge deployment and/or consultancies and help buildth eorganization capacity to respond effectively to emergencies world-wide.
About the ERP role
An ERP FSL Adviser will generally be deployed to the field as the lead technical adviser in a small or medium-sized emergency or the 2nd phase of large emergency. Alternatively they may be deployed as a field level technical coordinator in a complex, large-scale emergency. On occasion they may also be asked to gap fill a senior technical advisory role in a chronic humanitarian country programme. The ERP FSL Adviser will be expected to lead on sectoral assessment, programme design and master budgeting, coordination, and support fundraising, recruitment and procurement. In most circumstances, the post holder will be expected to mentor and/or capacity building existing country programme staff.
About you
You will have substantial experience of working internationally in humanitarian FSL programmes, including direct experience in implementing cash transfer programmes, market analysis and economic recovery. You will have varied experiences working in first phase emergency responses, with responsibilities including project management and staff management. You are willing to travel up to 80% of the time. We would especially like to hear from French speakers.
About the recruitment process
