The Role:
The Maintenance Contracts Data Analyst reports to the Sandvik Mining Canada, Services Manager and is responsible for entering, manipulating and reporting all types of heavy equipment maintenance planning, service data and financial invoicing data via a Computer Maintenance Management System (Maximo).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and enter data into CMMS and compare source material documents to ensure accuracy of data entry for reporting and invoicing
  • Prepare weekly/biweekly/monthly reports on maching production, utilization and customer invoicing
  • Manipulating CMMS, MS Excel, MS Access data for invoicing/reporting purposes.
  • Coordinate CMMS training requirements for maintenance contracts personnel in accordance with position specific needs .
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations for CMMS reporting.
  • Ability to communicate CMMS reports and invoicing directly with mining customers and contract sites.
  • Ability to explain complex data and reporting in simplified terms.
  • Understanding of mining industry and remote mining customer site work.
  • Understanding of equipment maintenance planning practices and processes.
  • Previous experience working on customer asset agreements.
  • Identifies and reports any unsafe work practices.
Candidate Qualifications:
  • College or Secondary School Diploma within Computer Programming or equivalent experience
  • 2 years experience in database administration position, including data entry and reporting
  • Previous experience utilizing Computer Maintenance Management Systems for heavy equipment maintenance planning and monitoring
  • Experience utilizing Oracle database software for reporting requirements
  • Computer Literate and proficient in Microsoft Office platforms (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, Visio, etc.
  • Ability to pay close attention to details and work independently
  • Good communications skills both verbal and written
  • Must be flexible, self motivated and demonstrate initiative in work
  • Accuracy, problem solving and troubleshooting skills required
  • Some financial/accounting knowledge would be an asset
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
