SANDVIK HYPERION SALES ENGINEER - THAILAND


Sandvik is a global industrial group with advanced products and world-leading positions in selected areas. Currently Sandvik’s Hyperion division, a world leader in cemented carbide metal and diamond products, whom is dedicated to offering high quality products and services to manufacturing companies, has an opening for a Sales Engineer to represent their extensive product range.
The role
The prime focus of this role will be servicing an existing customer base, as well as utilising the autonomy of the role to develop new relationships and expand business throughout Thailand and eventually other countries within the South East Asia Region.
Key Performance Areas
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Engineer will be responsible for promoting and selling the Sandvik Hyperion product range and supplementary products within an allocated region.
Responsibilities in the role will include:
  • Assist customers in the selection of appropriate tooling and /or products
  • Maintain the servicing of an existing customer base while actively prospecting for new business
  • Submitting weekly reports on sales activities and area development onto Sandvik CRM system
  • Maintain an up-to-date product knowledge of the Hyperion product range
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the customer’s requirements
  • Adhere to all Sandvik Hyperion Policies & Procedures
Your Profile
  • 3 – 5 years corporate sales experience is necessary
  • Knowledge or work experience with Tungsten carbide applications, process industry applications or technical sales would be advantageous
  • University degree in Engineering or Management preferred or relevant industry experience background
  • Broad range of technical industry experiences
  • A commitment to improving customer productivity through “Value Selling”
  • Literacy & Computer skills essential
  • Current Drivers Licence required
  • Native Thai language and good English skills are required
