Talent Development Specialist - Global Graduate Programme

The Talent Development Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring world-class execution of all learning activity for the global graduate population.  They will support on ensuring a successful launch of the programme and support the planning and orchestration for ongoing development activity for the all graduates across functions & cohorts. 

The Role:
As the Talent Development Specialist you will:
  • Support on the design of the overall Graduate development curriculum – bringing creative thinking from both an internal and external perspective to inform the creation of best practice content.  Ownership of project-based design such as the Mentoring programme and other such areas of design.
  • Enable brilliant execution of the various elements of the development curriculum, in partnership with key internal stakeholders and external vendors where required.  Provide rigorous project planning, tracking of key milestones & effective follow-through on all key elements.
  • Manage global communications related to the Global Graduate Programme development curriculum through Mosaic, Yammer & other necessary channels
  • Orchestrate seamless execution of all development activities to ensure a high quality, positive experience for graduates and line managers.
  • Drive thinking on creative ways to connect the global cohort & connectivity, driving consistent standards of learning and experience for graduates.  Fully leverage and manage the administration of all technology platforms (Diageo Academy, Yammer, Mosaic e.t.c.) to maximise the impact of activity and track participation across the global cohort
  • Inform tracking of investment and participation by reporting through Academy & Workday

The Person
You will have knowledge and experience of the following:
  • Exposure to an in-market environment – as a result, an ability to put the market at the centre of all thinking & work undertaken.
  • Spike around ‘consistently deliver great performance’ with a determination to execute to a high standard with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisation & project management skills - ability to plan, anticipate & orchestrate across multiple workstreams.
  • Highly analytical, skilled in leveraging data to generate insights. Numerical and can see patterns in information.
  • Orientation around talent development and learning & an understanding of the drivers of great individual performance & growth.
  • Ability to hold multiple perspectives & demonstrate mental agility in problem solving.  Boldness in approach in delivery of solutions.  Proven track record in challenging the ‘status quo’ & offering innovative and original thinking.
  • Effective at building & sustaining powerful relationships & leveraging these to influence stakeholders.  Quick to build trust & rapport & confident to intervene at senior levels. Able to recognise cultural differences & to adapt approach as required to deliver results.
  • Externally-oriented, with a strong interest in external trends & thinking.
  • A role model for learning and growth with a genuine passion for the capability agenda.
