Volunteer Translator - Spanish / English at Trias

Trias is looking for volunteers who want to make translations of internal or external communication documents, from English to Spanish (and/or vice versa).

 

English is the main working language of Trias, so most of the original documents are written in English. These documents may include policy documents, information letters, instructions or guidelines, policies, manuals, website articles, etc. The first assignment is the translation of the Trias General HRM Policy from English to Spanish. Other projects may follow later. 

 

Profile 

• Native proficiency level of Spanish and excellent knowledge of English. 
• A Master or bachelor degree in translation / interpretation in English and Spanish is a huge asset.
• Affinity with the international development sector and its jargon is a strong asset. 
• Good skills in written communication. Copywriting skills are an asset. 
• Familiar to work with Outlook and Microsoft Office programs. 
• You show responsibility, independence and quality orientation to bring a project to a good result. 

Offer 

• Immediate start or at shortest notice possible 
• You will work as a volunteer; transportation costs will be reimbursed. Making translations in a context of an internship is discussable 
• Concrete feedback on your work and the possibility to improve your translation skills 
• You can work from home or at our Head Office in Brussels, easily accessible with public transport and with flexible working hours 
• You will work for a dynamic international environment where you can gain experience and can build a network within the ngo sector.
