Key Responsibilities

​Cardno’s Perth office provides a variety of first-class engineering services to a broad cross section of private and public sector clients.  The Civil team is now looking to recruit a Graduate Civil Engineer to join their team of technical professionals. 

Reporting to the Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for providing accurate and efficient engineering design services for the office in accordance with project times and budgets. You will learn all facets of engineering techniques and gain skills in relevant software programs.

 

This position offers the opportunity for you to –

• Participate in the delivery of projects and ensure work output is of a technically high standard
• Complete design calculations and records within time and budget restraints
• Develop practical and commercial solutions to problems
• Undertake work related training and self-development for career advancement
• Collaborate with project staff and work within a team of technical specialists in their field

Other Requirements

​

To be successful you will be required to have –

• Up to 3 years’ experience in a Civil Engineering discipline (study or work experience)
• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (MS Word & MS Excel)
• Intermediate to advanced skills  in report writing
• Land development and/or WaterCorp knowledge/experience
• The ability to work within a team environment through well-developed interpersonal skills
• A positive and proactive attitude
• The ability to get involved and learn from others, whilst also contributing to a vibrant team
