Job Summary

​Cardno’s Civil team is seeking an exp’d Civil Drafter to join their Melbourne CBD office. Civil 3D or 12D skills preferred

Key Responsibilities

​Cardno have recently moved into our brand new CBD home to bring together 300+ professionals across Civil, Structural, Traffic & Transport, Utility, Geotechnical and Environmental Science disciplines to form one of Australia’s largest offices. We are currently seeking a Civil Drafter with specific skills in Civil 3D projects to join our Civil Commercial team.

Specifically, your duties will include –

• Civil 3D Detail Design Drafting for commercial developments including shopping centres, drainage, roads, car parks and other civil works 
• Operate CAD and other drafting/design computer programs efficiently
• Liaison with Project Managers and Designers to ensure drafts are within scope
• Provision of ad hoc support to project teams
• Comply with the company’s Quality Management system and provide feedback and recommendations where the system may need modification

Other Requirements

​To be successful you will display –

• Five to ten years proven drafting experience
• Demonstrated experience using CAD packages (Civil 3D or 12D preferred)
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with local authority and state government approval and regulatory requirements
• A commitment to self-improvement and continuing professional development
