Bogota Administrative Intern - Fall 2015

The Center for Reproductive Rights is a non-profit legal advocacy organization dedicated to advancing reproductive freedom as a fundamental right that all governments are legally obligated to protect, respect, and fulfill. The Center engages in cutting-edge impact litigation, policy analysis, advocacy, research, and public education throughout the world, to achieve women’s equality in society and to ensure that all women have access to appropriate and freely chosen reproductive health services.
****Position Summary:**** The Center’s Latin America & the Caribbean program is looking for an enthusiastic, resourceful and highly organized intern with a commitment to reproductive rights issues to engage in a variety of mini-projects related to the Colombia office. This internship will provide someone with experience in many aspects of as well as insight into the inner working of organizational management.
The internship is part-time, beginning September 14, 2015 through December 11, 2015.
****Compensation:****We encourage interns interested to seek external funding for the internship, because the compensation is limited. This internship is eligible for a small stipend.
****Responsibilities:**** As an intern with the Bogota Office, your primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist with the office implementation of Health and Safety Decree, 1443.
  • Assist with organizing/ maintaining operations and finance documents.
  • Become familiar with SharePoint software and upload financial information.
  • Support the updating of the Inventory Management System.
  • Organize the office storage room.
  • Support the documentation of procedures and forms.
  • Assist with special projects, as needed.
  • Other administrative tasks, as needed.
Skills Desired & Requirements
  • To be eligible for this internship, the candidate must be enrolled in a college or university as a Bachelors candidate, technician or technologist on a part-time basis for the fall 2015 semester.
  • Pursuing a degree in Business Administration/Industrial Engineering/Management/other related field, preferred.
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a growing group.
  • Outgoing, personable, approachable, enthusiastic, resourceful, and highly organized.
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential matters appropriately.
  • Have the capability to multitask and adjust priorities as needed.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
