The Governance Programme ensures the development and implementation of high level professional operational procedures and best practice to support the movement's governance. This ranges from developing and advising on good governance practice throughout the movement, to international meeting planning ensuring the smooth running of the international movement’s leadership and priority setting.
About the role:
As the Board Coordinator you will play an essential role in providing executive support and coordination for the International Board of AI as directed by the statute, and to assist the work of the Governance Programme in servicing the governance and leadership bodies. You will also provide administrative support to the Director, organising meetings, travel arrangements and support in delivery of tasks as required. You will also act as the point of contact for internal and external enquiries, responding to or referring these appropriately and in a timely manner. You will also monitor the budget, entering and tracking financial information; prepare invoices and payment requests for approval and processing; and monitor financial reports.
About you:
To provide the high-level support required of this post you will have excellent administrative and organization skills, ideally gained through your solid experience as a Personal or Administrative Assistant. As the first point of contact you will be an excellent communicator, providing high level service to a range of stakeholders. You can demonstrate the political judgement and discretion to manage sensitive organizational information and the initiative and discipline necessary to working with conflicting priorities and complex activities within a short timeframe on a daily basis. Experience and competence in coordinating international travel, meetings and managing a complex and frequently changing schedule are essential.
