The role

We are currently seeking a Signalling Manager to join our Sydney office. You will be a senior project manager in this field with a minimum of 10 years of experience, your main responsibilities will be:
  • Provide project management and/or project governance of projects to achieve reliable project performance in terms of sophistication, timeliness and quality
  • Build and maintain strong and effective client relationships through targeted activities
  • Contribute to providing leadership to employees on the project to ensure cohesion, optimal performance, resourcing, retention and professional development
  • With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
Suitable applicants will have the demonstrated ability to:
  • Managing the signalling business including staff utilisation, financial contribution, profitability and budget setting
  • Leadership of the signalling team including staff recruitment, development and motivation and work ethics
  • Resource control so work demand can be met
  • Build and maintain client relationships;
  • Lead signalling tenders and deliver projects and signalling and multifunctional projects
  • Promoting the capability both internally and external clients to maintain and grow the signalling business
  • Manage rail projects of> $1m successfully to budget and client specifications;
  • Coordinate, design and deliver rail projects within multi-disciplinary engineering projects
  • Manage, develop and resource a team effectively;
  • Must have sound knowledge of NSW /QLD (and ideally VIC) Rail business and regulatory regimes
  • Have a sound experience in managing sub-contractors
  • Lead the AEO approach for signalling and maintain AEO status
  • Capability approve signal designs (desirable)
