Senior Human Resources Officer

Purpose of the Job
To provide Human Resources services and guidance to user departments and staff according to the policies and laid down procedures.
Major Activities of the Job
      i.        Supervise supporting staff services.
     ii.        Process staff recruitments.
    iii.        Facilitate performance appraisal process.
   iv.        Ensure standards of quality of work for subordinate staff.
    v.        Assist in preparing the human resources budget.
   vi.        Attend to employee grievances.
  vii.        Facilitate training needs analysis and evaluation processes.
 viii.        Review disciplinary action proposals against staff.
   ix.        Coordinate pension affairs and facilitate payment of terminal benefits.
    x.        Assist in the determination of human resources establishments and manning
levels.
   xi.        Participate in the performance of staff welfare issues.
  xii.        Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Job Requirements.
Qualification.
  1. Advanced Diploma or University Degree in Business Administration or Sociology or Human Resources or Public Administration or its equivalent from recognised Institution/University.
  2. Relevant Postgraduate Studies or a Masters Degree or its equivalent from a
recognised Institution/University will be an added advantage.

Experience
Four (4) years of relevant experience
