We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst (Statistical Applications) to join the team responsible for supporting the statistical data processing applications in the Monetary and Economic Department. The ideal candidate has a background in analysing the business requirements around the exchange, compilation and analysis of statistical data, as well as an understanding of the relevant technologies and solutions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Analyse business processes, specify related IT requirements and define test cases;
  • Act as the interface between business users and development/support team;
  • Act as first and second level support for statistical applications;
  • Manage IT projects and assume related budget responsibility.

Qualifications, skills and experience:

  • University degree in a statistical, economics or IT-related field;
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in business analysis and/or application development;
  • Experience using statistical software packages, relational databases, and/or programming languages (e.g. MATLAB, R, C#, JAVA, PERL, SQL Server);
  • Familiar with the exchange, compilation and quality control of statistical data;
  • Experience with software development and testing methodologies and tools, in particular agile methodologies;
  • Experience in managing software development teams;
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
