Research Engineers – Security Bristol, UK

At HP Labs, we value technical leadership from people who are experts in their fields. Researchers at HP Labs work with peers in companies and academia on some of the hardest problems facing our industry today.
HP is a technology company to the core, and HP Labs is at the centre of innovation in HP. HP Labs’ newest programme ‘The Machine’ is reinventing the future of computing with new computing architectures, technologies and software that fundamentally change the way we build and use computers, bringing new power to bear on the internet and the data-scale problems we face.http://www.hpl.hp.com/research/systems-research/themachine/
We are looking for security researchers to join our team in HP Labs Bristol who are able to participate in the design and prototype engineering of novel security architectures, mechanisms and primitives for The Machine, starting from a robust foundation of hardware, firmware and out of band security mechanisms.
We are creating a range of embedded security services such as partitioning of resources, key management, accelerated encryption, component identity and authentication, boot and run-time assurance of components and systems.
We need researchers with both theoretical and practical skills in technologies such as operating system security, micro kernels, virtualization, introspection, system recovery, cryptography and security architectures. The successful candidate will work as part of an extended team in order to deliver a complete security solution for The Machine.
