Job purpose and key deliverablesTasks:
  • Ensures an integrated environmental, health & safety (EH&S) management system
  • Maintains ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 systems
  • Organizes and conducts audits to identify, evaluate existing and potential threats on EH&S issues
  • Recommends actions in order to restore the desirable situation and also controls their implementation
  • Provides support and direction for senior line managers about EH&S related issues, also plans and introduces programs in order to increase EH&S awareness
  • Is properly informed about local and international laws, regulations and codes of practice on EH&S issues
  • Works closely with production and scheduling teams according to new or modified equipment and also participates in the related budgeting sessions
  • Leads the planning and execution of technical projects /equipment installation and modification/
  • Ensures optimal resource management, documentation, completion and reports of projects according to the agreed time schedule and specifications
  • Ensures appropriate training and development for all key positions, identifies and coaches subordinates with the potential to grow
  • Holds regular performance discussion and ensures development plans for team members
  • Communicates monthly results, company news, projects for his/her team and discusses action plans
  • Works closely with local, regional, global teams and suppliers related to his/her area
  • Executes his work according to British American Tobacco policies, guidelines and local regulations
Essential requirementsExpectations:
  • College Degree in technical discipline
  • Native Hungarian and fluency in English is essential
  • Competent in computer skills and the use of the company's standard software packages
  • Experience of Project Management using Prince2 methodology
  • Broad understanding of a factory operations
  • Good knowledge of mechanical and  basic knowledge of electrical engineering
  • Knowledge and experience in working out the design documentation, testing and commencing of engineering equipment
  • Sound understanding of risk management principles and application to the business
  • Good knowledge of local EH&S law and legal processes
  • Strategic vision
  • High level interpersonal skills
