The World Bank seeks applications for a part-time Program Assistant to support the Field Health Services (FHS) team in the Health Services Department. The mission of the Joint Bank/Fund Health Services Department (HSD) is to serve the staff and management of the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund by promoting good health and contributing to a healthy work environment. The successful candidate will:

(1) Provide administrative assistance to FHS Program Manager in providing stakeholders with updates in regards to main indicators and outcomes of FHS program
(2) Assist FHS Program Manager with the Monitoring and Evaluation of the Program by participating in data analysis and identification of actionable items
(3) Maintain various databases as well as the FHS SharePoint site
(4) Coordinate logistics of annual FHS face to face meeting and orientation trainings of new team members
(5) Provide administrative pre travel/mission support such as: briefing documents, preparing pre-mission surveys and reports, pouching health promotion materials, editing Back to the Office Reports, preparing provider network Excel tables for HSD nurses and doctors based in HQ and the field.

Qualifications required:
  • A college degree in health sciences, business administration, public policy, social sciences, international development or other relevant field.
  • At least 2 years relevant administrative experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Internet software and ability to organize data and information retrieval systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to organize, edit and draft a variety of documents is essential
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and coordinate activities with a decentralized team (DC, Dakar, Douala, Johannesburg, Nairobi and Singapore)
  • Fluency in French is a plus
