Product Specialist - Global Merchant Strategy and Product Development

ABOUT THE JOB: 
MasterCard is seeking a Product Specialist - Global Merchant Strategy and Product Development. S/he will be responsible for conducting research and providing analysis support for the management, enhancement, and/or development of products, solutions, and services.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Compile market research to support improvements to products and solutions;
  • Use analytical and problem solving skills to help provide solutions that satisfy business needs;
  • Contribute to the development of new products and product enhancements by managing elements in the product development life cycle;
  • Manage specific components of product launches and implementations and make recommendations to ensure successful client satisfaction;
  • Work collaboratively across various internal teams to support a variety of business initiatives;
  • Provide customer and product operational support;
  • Participate in team meetings and actively contributes to developing presentations, including marketing and communication content;
  • Support data analysis, optimization, and reporting efforts;
  • Work with external and internal partners to help create and implement industry leading products;
  • Execute a consumer facing product strategy in merchant to grow GDV and revenue for the organization in the US region;
  • Help evaluate strategic opportunities for partnership or investment in the US to augment and enhance the organization's suite of products and solutions that can be offered to customers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Math, or related field;
  • Previous financial services, consulting or operations experience a plus;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with ability to multi-task;
  • Demonstrated problem solving abilities;
  • Conceptual aptitude;
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality;
  • Motivation to achieve outstanding performance;
  • Interest in learning more about product management/development in mobile, financial services/banking;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
