Pharmaceutical Management and Supply Chain Specialist

Christian Social Services Commission (CSSC) is an Umbrella organization jointly established by Tanzania Episcopal Conference (TEC) and Christian Council of Tanzania (CCT) as an ecumenical body since 1992. The Commission supports Church Institutions in delivering quality social (Health and Education) services to people in need regardless of colour, race or creed. It also promotes expansion of health, education and other social services in Tanzania.

Background

CSSC is the main Technical partners of Deloitte Consulting Limited in the implementation of TUNAJALI " program. As technical partner, CSSC is mainly
responsible for the implementation and achievements of Result 4 which in focuses on improving access to quality, integrated and comprehensive HIV care and treatment services in Morogoro, Dodoma, Sing ida, Iringa and Njombe regions; and in collaboration with Deloitte and other sub-partners contribute and support achievements of the other results.
TUANAJALI " is a five years (2012 to 2017) PEPFAR funded program through USAID. The program areas supported include: Adult, Adolescent and Pediatric HIV Care and Treatment, PMTCT, CHBC, TB/HIV Collaborative management, Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health (MNCH), Cervical Cancer Prevention (CECAP) and Laboratory and Pharmacy strengthening.

Job Title: Pharmaceutical Management and Supply Chain Specialist
Reporting to: Director of Technical Services
Duty Station: Dar es Salaam
Contract Period: 1 year renewable

General Description;
The Pharmaceutical Management and Supply Chain Specialist will ensure that health facilities offer quality pharmaceutical services and HIV/AIDS commodities management. She/he will have direct and indirect working relationship with Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, USAID,
Regional and Districts Health Management teams, hospitals and health centres offering ART services in the five regions of Morogoro, Dodoma, Singida, Iringa and Njombe.

Key Qualifications;
Holder of a Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized university.
Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Management or related discipline will be an added advantage.
Experience working with HIV/AIDS programs is desirable
