KEY ACCOUNTS MANAGER

The role
The Key Accounts Manager is responsible for co-ordination of Sandvik Coromant business and relationship with the nominated key accounts. Key aspects of the responsibilities are building long-term relationships and expanding business opportunities which require detailed and profound understanding of the account´s strategic and tactical goals, business targets as well as Sandvik Coromant’s capability to enable the best long-term mutual value.
Key performance areas
  • Implement key account business plan to secure new business of the account within defined area and responsibility.
  • Assess the account´s total potential with Sandvik Coromant offerings and develop future market potential for Sandvik Coromant’s business with in the accounts.
  • Liaise directly with the account´s senior & mid-management as key point of contact and understand their needs and requirements Responsibility of relationship management with the account across the markets.
  • Consolidate all local account business plans to develop the key account business plan.
  • Develop local Framework Agreement with aim to define way of working and ensure consistency in T&C for Australian pricing structure. Responsible for overall profitability of the key account.
  • Responsible for consolidating overall financials with the account, calculations on budgetary and investments providing the company & the responsible account with all necessary details.
  • To coordinate with the account on innovations and new offering development for operational efficiency on EHS, productivity & total cost of ownership.
Your profile
You must have Tertiary Qualification in Machining or equivalent discipline combined with previous successful achievement in field sales activities, or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through practical work experience. You will have a superior customer relation skills to be able to recognize opportunities and follow these up with innovative solutions for the customer. Well-developed negotiation skills as well as a pro-active and self-directed attitude is essential.
The successful candidate will be provided a relocation from the point of hire for this position along with an attractive remuneration package.
Key Selection Critera:
  • A Fitting & Machining or Toolmaking background with minimum trade qualifications
  • CNC Machining Experience
  • A working knowledge of Cemented Carbide Cutting Tools
  • A commitment to improving customer productivity through “Value Selling”
  • Previous sales experience essential
  • Literacy & Computer skills essential
  • Current Drivers Licence required
