Job purpose and key deliverables
  • Delivers the agreed HR strategy and execute the annual HR cycle plan for client function, including talent management, career development, succession planning, performance management and recruitment
  • By understanding the business and client function’s needs, identifies areas where HR can contribute and provide value-added solutions
  • Drive leadership agenda within the client function, lead behavioral changes and foster a coaching culture with a view to enhancing organizational performance
  • Works closely with line managers to manage manpower and headcount planning as well as organizational changes
  • Represents the company at the union meeting and handle day-to-day employee relations matter
  • Provides professional support and advice on incentive schemes and local benefit schemes
  • Manages, guides, develops and coaches direct reports and ensure agreed achievements are delivered and development plans are implemented
  • Act as member of the Leadership team of the client function(s) and make maximum contributions to both the HR and business agenda
Essential requirements
  • University education as a minimum
  • Must be fluent in English and business level of Japanese
  • 5 years+ working experience in Human Resources, preferably in a multinational company
  • Experience of working as either HRBP or HR Generalist
  • Broad knowledge and experience of talent and performance management practices
  • Business-minded
  • Can challenge the status quo and is comfortable in complex, ambiguous situations
  • Able to manage senior stakeholders and stay connected to junior staff
  • Quick to learn new things and adapt to new situations
  • Strong ambition to progress further in the organization
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills, e.g. influence in matrix structures, promotes ideas in clear and simple terms
  • Excellent strategic leadership capabilities, e.g. setting direction, driving changes and driving results
