Grant Management Coordinator

SUMMARY
The Grants Management Coordinator provides support to the Child & Youth Development and Protection (CYDP) team for the effective project implementation and post-award management of ChildFund International’s global grant portfolio within the Program Development Division of ChildFund International. Under the direction of the Grants Team Lead, s/he works collaboratively within the Program Development Division, especially with various Technical Advisors within the CYDP team, the Business Development Team, the Grants Compliance team; and the Global Philanthropy & Communications Division, as well as with colleagues in the Regional and National Offices to support implementation, evaluation and learning with respect to key grants and in line with ChildFund’s theory of change for one or more Life Stages.
Duties and Responsibilities – Grant Management
  • Contributes to the effective post award grant management and successful implementation of key awards from U.S. based institutional donors, International and Multi-lateral donors, Foundations and Corporations
  • Manages his/her own portfolio of key grants with support from the Grant Team Lead
  • Contributes to monthly monitoring and reporting for key grants and helps escalate key issues to leadership
  • Maintains SalesForce project records for key grants and supports colleagues in National Office to update SalesForce project records for non-key grants. May also serve as a SalesForce champion for the Program Division and participate in additional SalesForce training
  • Monitors and tracks project expenditures against budgeted expenditures for assigned portfolio
  • Responsible for timely and accurate reporting both internal and for the donor for key grants in assigned portfolio
  • Coaches and provides guidance to NO Project teams on grant management issues
  • Member of the Global Grants Team to develop and implement grants management guidelines, policies, and protocols and capture learning from post award grant management processes
  • Attends industry events, focused on dissemination of new findings, or networking.
  • Supports sub-award partner relationships related to post award management.
  • Supports with preparation, coordination, and facilitation of project start up and close out processes for key grants.
  • Member of CYDP team, providing input into the annual operating plans and key team activities including and may coordinate specific activities around learning, proposal development, and communications.
  • Supports knowledge management and learning including the use of Sharepoint or other tools and applications to capture, save and share key content and learnings from key grants
  • Applies any relevant technical knowledge or background to support key grant postaward management including contributing to project workplans, M&E frameworks, narrative reports and other key deliverables in coordination with Life Stage Technical Advisors
  • May contribute to review of proposals and budgets in the pre-award phase
  • Build and foster relationships with donors in the post award management process and liaise with the Business Development team to support past performance reviews and capacity statements or any other required information to support proposal development
  • May collaborate with other teams and divisions on special projects and/or working groups
  • May also support the management of consultants or interns as required
Required Skills

  • Organized, detail-oriented, team player, self-starter and results-oriented individual.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one additional language (French, Spanish, or Portuguese) required
  • Flexible, Adaptable, Detail-oriented, Team Player.
  • Computer literacy, particularly word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Having lived and worked in a developing country context strongly preferred.
Experience Required
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in grant management or international development
  • Demonstrated experience and proven ability managing, and guiding project staff and partners regarding a variety of donors’ rules and regulations (i.e. USG, DFID, Foundations, Corporations etc.)
  • Experience with US government donors a plus including a working knowledge of USG rules and regulations
  • Experience managing budgets and cost projections
  • Experience with SalesForce or other project management software a plus
  • Experience with Sharepoint a plus
  • Ability to travel internationally (up to 40% annually)

EDUCATION
Minimum of Bachelor degree in Public Administration, International Development, International Affairs and Policy, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred
