ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION: 
Women’s World Banking (WWB) is an international network of MFIs in several countries working to bring financial services and information to low-income entrepreneurs. Its mission is to expand the economic assets, participation, and power of poor women as entrepreneurs and economic agents by opening their access to finance, knowledge and markets. It seeks to alleviate global poverty by expanding the economic assets, participation, and power of the poor, especially women.
ABOUT THE JOB: 
WWB is seeking a Director - Leadership and Diversity. S/he will be responsible for designing all aspects of the program, managing its implementation, and overseeing the monitoring and evaluation. S/he will be responsible for representing organization in conferences, media briefings, speaking engagements, and professional networks to share insights and their applicability thereby influencing and improving the dialogue around leadership and financial inclusion.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Thought leadership:
    • Represent organization's point of view and interests in conferences, speaking engagements, media and with academic partners, and consultants;
    • Work with organization's communications team to capture and share lessons-learned in the area of leadership and diversity to serve the women’s market.
  • Program design and delivery:
    • Lead the curriculum design process of all leadership and diversity programs at the institutional and industry level;
    • Develop new content or program offerings to meet the needs of leaders and institutions served and drive institutional impact;
    • Lead the implementation of all leadership and diversity programs and ensure that program components are integrated and mutually reinforcing.
  • Monitoring and evaluation:
    • Participate in the design and lead implementation of the monitoring and evaluation framework for all leadership and diversity programs;
    • Oversee the effectiveness of programs in achieving individual and institutional impact towards better serving the women’s market.
  • Within the first four weeks:
    • Assume full responsibility of the position;
    • Build the foundation for a strong relationship with the leadership and diversity program staff;
    • Embrace organization's unique characteristics and offerings;
    • Learn and comprehend the organization's business model.
  • Within the first three months:
    • Forge strong working relationships and become a thought partner for key staff and strategic partners; 
    • Demonstrate ownership over and fluency in the strategy and implementation of the leadership and diversity program;
    • Collaborate closely with products team to identify areas of leadership support.
  • Within the first year:
    • Support the implementation of the leadership and diversity programs including the open enrollment offering as well as ensuring the integration of leadership support into all product related technical assistance;
    • Contribute thought-leadership in the area of leadership and diversity, positioning the organization for continued success and growth.
Qualifications:
  • More than 8 years of experience in organizational development and/or executive education/leadership development. Experience working on issues of workforce diversity preferred;
  • Experience using multiple instructional design and learning methodologies (e.g., classroom, online, blended, distance learning) leading to measurable impact on training participants;
  • Knowledge of major trends in leadership development (required) and finance/financial inclusion (preferred), key debates, and current issues in the field;
  • Ability to identify organization development, talent management, and/or skill building solutions that meet clients’ goals and business objectives;
  • Ability to work collaboratively and interact effectively with people of other cultures, capacities, and organizations;
  • Experience facilitating one-on-one coaching engagements with clients to meet performance and development needs preferred.
