Coordinator - Accounting and Finance

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION: 
Rajasthan Shram Sarathi Association (RSSA) has been promoted by Aajeevika Bureau and since its inception RSSA has undertaken work in providing financial services and solutions to vulnerable seasonal migrants and their families from rural Rajasthan. It was registered in 2007 with a vision to become a leading agency towards ensuring secure, dignified lives of communities dependent on labor and migration.€ RSSA serves as an incubator for financial services for migrant households. This involves four critical areas of financial intervention at source and destination locations viz. smoothening cash flows, breaking past debt cycles and advance traps, providing livelihood support, and financing retirement.
ABOUT THE JOB: 
RSSA is seeking a Coordinator - Accounting and Finance. S/he will be responsible for playing a leading role in managing its financial systems during this phase of expansion.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Cash management:
    • Prepare monthly cash flow statements and projected cash deficits. Effective investment and management of surplus cash;
    • Ensure timely availability of cash requirements of branch teams. Monitor cash management by branch teams.
  • Fund management:
    • Ensure timely repayments to investors. Manage utilization of funds as outlined by senior management;
    • Provide monthly updates on fund flows and budget utilization to senior management.
  • Accounting and finance:
    • Regular updation of receipts and expenditures in the software; 
    • Prepare monthly provisional financial statements, prepare final accounts;
    • Monitor and provide support to branch teams for maintenance of accounts as per office norms.
  • Cost monitoring:
    • Collate and allocate cost data under relevant heads, prepare cost trends and monitor irregular costs on a monthly basis;
    • Report cost information to senior management on a monthly basis.
  • Documentation and compliance:
    • Maintain all necessary documentation as prescribed by the ROC and legal norms;
    • Maintain and update human resource files, staff contracts, and documentation;
    • Manage documentation and data entry of the organization’s financial services.
  • General administration and data management:
    • Provide regular administrative support for day-to-day activities and special events;
    • Collation of financial and operational data. Analysis of financial information and drawing trends using various financial management tools.
Qualifications:
  • Must have a Postgraduate degree in the fields of Finance/Accounting/Commerce/Management or similar disciplines;
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience;
  • Fluency in Hindi and English;
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with and comfortable working with large data sheets;
  • Proficiency in usage of accounting software such as Tally and a good understanding of Microsoft Excel and other MIS tools.
