Strip, Wire and Heating Technology, is a newly merged Product Area (PA) within Sandvik Materials Technology. The PA is a world-leading developer and manufacturer of products in advanced stainless steels, metal powder and special alloys for the most demanding environments, as well as products, systems and services for industrial heating. Strip, Wire and Heating Technology's long-term focus is to target energy-related industries and energy efficiency applications.
We are now looking for someone who is ready to take the next step in his/her career as CFO. This position provides great development opportunities in a flexible, fast moving and truly global environment.
Key performance areas
As Chief Financial Officer you are overall responsible for finance, IT and purchasing in the PA. Leading a team of controllers, IT manager and purchasing manager, you ensure processes and services that add value to the business and support our strategy. You report to the President of PA Strip, Wire and Heating Technology and are part of the PA management team.
Your responsibilities include:
  • Leading the finance, IT and purchasing function with operational efficiency and quality in focus
  • Ensuring financial support needed to control and improve business performance
  • Conducting and communicating financial analyses and reporting for the PA
  • Driving the development of the budget and forecasting processes
  • Ensuring development and implementation of the global IT strategy, as well as global purchasing initiatives, in a way that enables our business strategy
  • Ensuring compliance with policies and guidelines internally as well as externally
  • Driving continuous improvement of methods and processes within the areas of responsibility
  • Developing a strong global network in all areas of finance, IT and purchasing and ensuring competence within these areas today as well as for the future
  • Taking proactive part in the development of the PA, both as functional leader and a member of the PA management team
In this position, travelling globally is required.
Your profile
We expect that you have a relevant university degree, preferably in a business discipline or qualified by significant previous experience within finance. Previous people management experience is essential. You have broad experience in the fields of accounting and business controlling, preferably from an industrial environment. Furthermore, you have excellent leadership skills, with a proven track record of working successfully with performance management, team management and team building.
To be a good fit in this role, you need to be creative and flexible with an excellent ability to work in teams. You are interested in developing both the business and your co-workers and are able to implement change. In order to succeed in this global position, you have excellent English skills – both written and spoken. Other language skills are beneficial.
