Appointment of Chief Administrative Officer

Are you motivated by your Christian faith to bring real hope to millions of children in the world’s hardest places?
World Vision is the world’s largest Christian relief, development and advocacy organisation.  Our Christian faith teaches us that every child, regardless of gender, faith, or race, is a precious gift to the entire world – and that their wellbeing concerns us all. We shall never rest while children suffer in situations that we can change. Inspired by Jesus Christ’s call to serve the poor, we work with the marginalised and oppressed to promote human transformation, seek justice and bear witness to the good news of the Kingdom of God.
We are currently seeking an outstanding and distinctive leader to play a key role in the leadership of a highly dynamic, global and culturally diverse organisation and make a demonstrable and transformational impact on the lives of millions of children. As World Vision’s strategy moves to improve the impact, support, accountability, effectiveness and efficiency of the Partnership, the appointment of this new role is a crucial one for World Vision International. Reporting to Kevin Jenkins, the President and Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Administrative Officer will be responsible for providing long-range strategic planning, integration and management of key global strategic functions. S/he will be instrumental in increasing the effectiveness and nimbleness of the Partnership and in positioning World Vision as a 21st century leader.
This role offers a unique opportunity for a committed Christian who is passionate about addressing the issues of poverty affecting children. You will bring significant senior strategic and operational leadership, an evidence of working in global organisations at the executive level, including experience across several functions and a successful track record of cross functional management. You will have the ability to set vision, influence, persuade and build confidence and trust at a senior level across complex organisational structures in order to ensure multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural working and collaboration. You will bring strong people management skills and the ability to build excellent relationships across an intricate stakeholder map. In addition, you will be innovative, professional and motivational with a strong appetite for change.
