Logistics Planner - Dublin
Introduction
SMC Logistics are part of the Sandvik Group; an advanced-technology engineering company operating on a global scale throughout 130 countries. SMC Logistics in Dublin are looking for a Logistics Planner to join the Supply Chain team to ensure orders are delivered in a timely manner against minimal costs.
The Role
The role will require you to:
- Be responsible for the day to day operational handling of your order flow.
- Monitor the fulfillment of orders from Sandvik Mining sales organisations.
- Deliver orders within required delivery time against minimal logistics costs.
- Maximise control of everyday operative logistics transport processes.
- Control cost, quality and delivery performance.
- Implement improvements in the order to delivery process between sales organizations (global) and SMC Logistics Ltd.
- Check orders for data quality and completeness.
- Schedule orders against outstanding purchase orders.
- Ensure right usage of criticality codes and modes of transportation.
- Expedite urgent orders.
- Communication with sales organization and third party logistics providers on a daily basis.
Your Profile
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Excellent Customer service skills and supply chain understanding is a pre requisite.
- Ideally a relevant Third Level qualification in Supply Chain.
- Problem solving skills and be a proactive thinker.
- A customer focus attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Good co-operation skills and capable of working in a global organization.
- Able to travel internationally in culturally diverse environment.
