Field Sales Representative

Sandvik are seeking a Field Sales Representative within the Customer Services Team. In this role, you will have a major focus on EHS and be responsible for an agreed sales budget including profitability to a pre-determined customer base. This includes promoting and selling the complete range of Sandvik Mining and Construction stockyard machine spare parts.

Key performance areas
Managing and performing against your budget, building and maintain a strong customer base whilst marketing Sandvik's machine spare parts.
As a Sales Representative you will be expected to:
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures especially the EHS policies;
  • Driven to contribute to Sandvik's 'Zero Harm' safety goal;
  • Preparation and submission of tenders to Sandvik standard format;
  • Pursuing sales leads generated from your 'network' of contacts;
  • Ensuring any 'Market Intelligence' gathered is distributed to relevant personnel within the group;
  • Promoting and selling the spare parts handled by Sandvik Mining (Materials Handling Projects division);
  • Development and retention of new customers and contacts;
  • Working to a fixed sales and expense budget;
  • Travelling to remote sites in Western Australia;
  • Handling customer complaints in a professional and efficient manner;
  • Ensuring customers are operating within their approved commercial terms;
Your profile
To be successful in this role, you will have the following essential criteria:
  • Engineering qualification or technical experience;
  • Proven record of sales and customer service;
  • Mining and materials handling industry experience;
  • Familiarity with bulk materials handling equipment/ industry;
  • Good level of computer literacy is required;
  • Excellent personal presentation and communication;
  • Customer focused and detail minded; and
  • Self motivated
This role involves 90% travel in remote WA
