Technical Sales Specialist – South Western Ontario
Sandvik Coromant is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to bring Coromant's high level services and solutions to customers in the South Western Ontario territory bounded by Ingersoll, Woodstock and Tillsonburg. In order to properly manage this territory, the candidate will be required to travel extensively in this region and ideally live within this region.
This incumbent will work closely with local distributors and customers and the Eastern Ontario sales team to achieve success by building solid relationships. A strong technical background including programming, tool cutting and machining skills is required.

  • Contribute to the overall sales to build our market share
  • Deliver our value message to the market which supports a high value and services solutions focus
  • Supply solutions that meet or exceed our customers' expectations
  • establish and maintain a strong relationship with our customers and our Channel Partners
  • Test, evaluate, and trouble-shoot metal cutting tools
  • Properly document tests performed
  • Deliver our value message to our customers through documented cost savings
  • Prospect new and existing customers to identify opportunities for sales growth
  • Identify and report market conditions
Qualifications/Requirements for this role include:
  • Strong knowledge of the machining, programming, and/or engineering of precision machined components
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the cutting tool industry; sales experience an asset
  • Post-secondary education in related field an asset
  • Excellent listening skills with persistent and determined approach
  • Results oriented with solid planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and great presentation skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Regional and country-wide travel will be required
