Sandvik is a global industrial group with advanced products and world-leading positions in selected areas – tools for metal cutting, equipment and tools for the mining and construction industries, stainless materials, special alloys, metallic and ceramic resistance materials as well as process systems.
Sandvik has presented a new Human Resources delivery model and organizational structure. Part of it is the Global Compensation and Benefits Team, which will lead the way forward in Sandvik's ambition to build a level playing field for solid reward programs, enabling to attract and retain the talent needed to achieve our business objectives. We are now looking for a Group Compensation and Benefits Expert, to be located in Stockholm.
Key performance areas
As Compensation and Benefits Expert you provide consultation, analysis, and decision-making on total compensation elements to HR and line management of a designated business area, while balancing  fairness and equity with cost-effectiveness for Sandvik.
Main areas for your responsibility are:
  • Base salary management
  • Annual variable pay design and delivery
  • Long-term cash or equity-based programs
  • Annual salary review program
  • Project management of initiatives from the global C&B agenda
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, HR or another related field, preferably with ACA certification or the European equivalent. The position requires a minimum of 7 years of progressively more responsible compensation and benefits work or directly related experience (9 years in lieu of a degree). You have advanced level knowledge of trends and developments in compensation, including applicable federal, state and local legislation. You are advanced in job classification. Math skills and financial knowledge are required, as well as demonstrated technical abilities and project management skills. Furthermore, you need strong computer skills in MS Office, as well as compensation-specific applications. Excellent English, both verbal and written, are a prerequisite for this position.
You are a confident self-starter, interested in and able to think through complex problems, which you resolve quickly and effectively. You have strong interpersonal skills, can motivate others and build strong relationships and networks within the organization.
