Communications And Online Communications Internship

Intern will provide administrative and editorial support to the communications team, with an emphasis on web and online communications.Monitoring traditional and social media; answering phones; filing and other duties.

Intern will provide administrative and editorial support to the communications team, with an emphasis on web and online communications. Duties include: drafting, maintaining, and organizing web content; producing and editing e-mail campaigns, blog posts, and digital content; analyzing online engagement and web traffic; assisting with strategy to drive traffic to IWPR’s website and online products; monitoring traditional and social media; answering phones; filing and other duties.   This is a fantastic opportunity to get hands-on experience in a variety of web-based technologies as well as exposure to PR, marketing, and media relations, and publications processes.
Qualifications:
Creative, innovative, and detail-oriented individual with good writing and computer skills; experience working with social media beyond personal use; fluency with web design and graphic design programs (Adobe PhotoShop, DreamWeaver, InDesign); prior experience with HTML and content management systems strongly preferred, and knowledge of programming languages (Python or JavaScript, etc.) is helpful, but not essential.
