The Sales Representative is responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity. Follows an individual work plan and meets day-to-day short-term objectives. The individual hired into this role will be expected to develop into an Account Manager/Technical Sales & Service Professional
The Sales Representative is responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity. Follows an individual work plan and meets day-to-day short-term objectives. Has the ability to resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
• Responsible for the customer in all aspects of account growth including strategy development, integrated account planning, opportunity identification, and value communication
• Work with current customers and prospects to meet desired sales and service needs
• Interface with the marketing organization to drive high value solutions leveraging the GE portfolio
• Serve as an intermediary for solutions detailed understanding of customer’s business model and how GE’s products and services develop and deliver added value to the customer
- Participates in plant visits to gather samples, observe instruments, and obtain information and analyzes/interpret results and reports any corrective actions to the customer.
- Conducts required training of operating personnel to ensure their understanding of the parameters under which their equipment operates.
- Partners with peers and management to enhance selling techniques and approaches.
- Effectively coordinates relationships and interfaces with Commercial Operations, Technical Marketing, Product management and other functions.

This role is based in Fort McMurray and relocation is offered. You will be provided a company vehicle, and a valid drivers license is required. You will also be provided northern living allowance, retention bonus on top of your base and commission structure.
- Experience in direct sales, account, or team leadership or industry operations is an asset
- B.Sc. Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical), Biology, or Chemistry, OR Bachelors Degree in any discipline plus 4 years experience in the water treatment field.
- Ability and willingness to work in range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities.
- Demonstrated sales/people skills and/or aptitude.
- The candidate must possess solid communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Candidate should have a proven sales record or show that he/she has the aptitude to succeed in a technical and relationship driven business.
- Demonstrated computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- The candidate must be willing to work independently (after proper training) and be a self-starter.
- Customer-centric mindset, able to translate customer issues/needs into profitable business solutions.
