Careers Adviser, Undergraduate Programmes

Synopsis
The Careers Adviser, Undergraduate Programmes is responsible for serving students for careers advising, workshop design and delivery, and ensuring the flawless execution of all aspects of careers provision to undergraduate students. The Careers Adviser will also manage the Undergraduate Internship Programme including (in conjunction with Corporate Relations) sourcing internships, preparing and matching students with opportunities, managing the intern and company relationship, mentoring the student and marking assignments.
The Careers Adviser will work with the Associate Director, Career Services, Undergraduate Programmes to design and deliver a programme tailored to the needs of our students. You will also partner with faculty, alumni, and student organizations and collaborate with Hult Corporate Relations staff on careers related processes and policies.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Management and execution of the undergraduate internship programme including promotion, sourcing, mentoring students and marking assignments.
  • Designing and delivering workshops for students. 
  • Providing individual and group careers advice and interview preparation to students.
  • Running CV surgeries and drop in sessions.
  • Administering and feeding back on psychometric tests.
  • Partnering with faculty, alumni, and student organizations and collaborating with Hult Corporate Relations staff to enhance placement-related processes and policies.
  • Remaining current on industry trends.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 
  • Diploma in Careers Guidance / Qualification in Careers Guidance or equivalent. 
  • Previous experience in a careers advisory role in a university or business school environment.
  • Previous experience of running internship programmes including understanding of the regulatory framework (including immigration status for Tier 4 students) and sourcing opportunities.
  • Deep understanding of the needs of international students experience working with this group.
  • Workshop design and delivery experience to both small and large groups.
  • One to one career advising experience.
  • Knowledge of psychometric tools including verbal and numerical reasoning tests (level A or B qualification an advantage).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills in both formal and informal settings.
  • Ability to foster positive relations with multiple constituencies
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of undergraduate career fields, job functions and industries and appreciation of global hiring trends.
