Sandvik Machining Solutions is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a global market-leading manufacturer of tools and tooling systems for advanced industrial metal cutting. Products are manufactured in cemented carbide and other hard materials such as diamond, cubic boron nitride and special ceramics.
The Finance Supply department is responsible for the business control and performance and development of the finance processes within the Machining Solutions Supply operations. Right now we are looking for a Business Controller who creates value for the business. The location for this position is Sandviken, but other locations can be discussed.
Key performance areas
As Business Controller - Strategy & Performance Management you will be a member of the Finance Supply team, working closely with SMS Production Change Program in particular, but also a vast array of other stakeholders within and around SMS Production and Supply Chain Management.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Being an active member of the Finance Supply team
- Ensuring close cooperation with, primarily, SMS production, but also Supply Chain Management teams
- Developing processes for analysis of strategic development and performance follow-up at SMS production and Supply Chain management
- Setting a process to support fast, automatic and to-the-point business performance analysis of past, present and future trends, as well as risks and opportunities
- Helping to increase the knowledge of financial effects from business decisions through involvement in discussions and analysis
The position includes some business travel.
Your profile
We are looking for someone who has experience in leadership and change management, possibly from business controlling, and who is passionate about driving business performance. You have a University degree, preferably in Finance, Business Administration or Project Management. Alternatively you have finance experience paired with solid experience from change management, project management or process development & management. Good communications skills in English, both in writing and in speaking, are a prerequisite for the role, as are excellent IT skills in Excel and Power Point and the ability to learn new systems when necessary.
As a person you have the ability to bring structure and clarity to complex matters. You have a strong interest in and understanding of financial results, combined with great management skills, and are able to support others through coaching and facilitation of teams. You influence others by well-structured presentations, training material and other communication, adapting your communication to the receiver and being a good listener.
You are an analytical person, able to work on a strategic, tactical and operational level, who easily can switch between detailed analysis and an overall perspective. You support excellent business performance by proactive and, where needed, corrective actions with stakeholders on different levels in the organization. Furthermore, it is important that you are business oriented with strong integrity, since highly confidential projects will be part of the work.
