Oil & Gas Business Development Manager France/Italy

The Role
As a Sales manager you will focus on sales and business development for our end users within SURF and EPC companies as well as ensuring continuity of business and issues are raised to relevant internally teams within SMT.
The role will involve:
  • Visiting end users to discuss Tube product range, and supporting with material specifications.
  • Visiting identified prospects and key targets to discuss material requirements, support we can provide and mapping upcoming opportunities/project tracking.
  • Managing relations in existing accounts, active selling and business development of tube O&G products.
  • Ensure that Sandvik are in approved vendor list, and are listed to quote on upcoming projects. Handle enquiries from offer to securing the business.
  • Identifying opportunities for SMT products, to convert existing application to new materials
You will report to the Regional Sales Manager and be part of a team with Sales Managers for O&G. This position requires traveling globally.
Your Profile
The ideal candidate will:
  • Educated to Bachelor degree level within a technical field.
  • Be able to work autonomously, and utilise the expertise and support of colleagues where required.
  • Have experience in the steel industry, particularly in CRA materials and strong sales & technical skills.
  • Be outgoing and enthusiastic while remaining pedagogical and responsive.
  • Possess excellent skills in English, both written and verbal, and are able to communicate fluently in either French or Italian; fluency in both would be advantageous.
