Besides representing the common interests of its members in the dialogue with European and international institutions, Leaseurope produces publications, position papers, press releases, industry statistics and market trends analysis. Leaseurope is recognized as the premier source for information on the state of the European leasing and automotive rental markets.

Job description

The Junior Adviser in Statistics & Economic Affairs will be part of the Federation’s Research and Statistics Department and will work closely with the Federation’s Senior Economists.
The position entails:
  • Collecting market data and information from the Federation’s Member Associations and European leasing companies at regular intervals;
  • Analysing and interpreting the collected data to generate added-value messages;
  • Writing insightful analysis of market trends and sentiment (incl. the production of tables and charts);
  • Collaborating on Leaseurope’s research projects in the context of the Federation’s Research Programme;
  • Presenting market developments and research findings to various audiences in Brussels and internationally;
  • Providing support in Committee and other meeting organization and administration (drafting supporting documents, agendas, minutes, etc.);
  • Developing support material and content for use in submission to policy makers and standard setters;
  • Authoring articles for submission to specialized press.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:
  • University degree (Masters level) in economics or related field, with first rate academic record;
  • Fluency (native level) in English;
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience;
  • Excellent computer skills are vital (incl. experience with Excel and PowerPoint);
  • Thorough analytical skills;
  • First class drafting skills;
  • Good communicating and presenting abilities;
  • Problem-solving attitude;
  • Diplomacy, team spirit and willingness to take initiatives;
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines;
  • Superior attention to details;
  • Prior knowledge of the leasing industry useful but not required.
