IT Intern , Houston, Texas

The Incident Management Center (IMC) provides front-line reactive and proactive management for mission critical systems. Personnel respond to real-time alerts to resolve problems or application/system outages, regular on-going review of analysis of data to identify recurring problems and proactively detect potential future problems. This team will ensure incidents are tracked throughout their incident lifecycle and escalated based on the established guidelines to ensure that HP IT delivers a positive customer experience.
This position will support the flow of some of the critical process, technical documentation and additional critical tasks that will enable the IMC to operate within standards with the highest level of quality. This position will help drive the E2E Ticket Accountability process to ensure the SLAs are met throughout the entire incident lifecycle.
Some of the activities are, but not to:
I. Technical writing (Process and Procedures)
Document standard format
Validate template content completeness (elevation contact, closure codes, others)
II. IMC SharePoint Management
Clean up and review the contents of all pages
Document and archive obsolete data
Picture Gallery Update
Employee Contact List update
Vacation tracking file
Quality tracking
III. Reporting
Employee Score Card
Vacation file tracking
IMC Training tracking
Asset Management
IV. Additionally may provide support on:
Support operation by performing ticket elevations
Collaborate on the creation of flows, tracking tools updates, others
Order and inventory supplies as needed
Qualifications
· Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in MIS, CIS, CS, EE, CE
· Strong analytic skills
· Strong Communication skills (Verbal and written)
· Familiarity with code development
· Experience with teamwork
Ability to self-manage to tasks and schedule
