The Programme

On this programme, which typically lasts up to 24 months, we’ll use our resources and expertise to turn you into a trusted member of our Business team. Whatever the role, you'll be at the heart of the profitability of HP – getting the most out of our resources, dealing with our customers, driving sales or delivering the business strategy that keeps us competitive.

It all begins with an course where you’ll get to grips with our business and how you fit into it. You’ll attend workshops, work on projects and undergo intensive professional, technical and project management training in order to prepare you for your new role. After that, you’ll have the chance to put your classroom learning to the test on live work. Depending on the role, you could also enjoy several rotations around the business to increase your overall knowledge of your chosen area. Wherever you join, straight away, you'll be working with people who are experts in their field. But we’ll still expect you to give your insight and opinion, and make a real contribution every day.

To help you, throughout this scheme, your training and development won’t stop. You’ll attend sessions designed to hone your soft skills, such as presenting, influencing and communicating effectively. And you’ll have the support of your line manager, an assigned mentor and a graduate-level buddy. Through ongoing appraisals and feedback processes, you’ll plot and control your career – taking you from entry-level position to specialist, expert and beyond.

Business Analyst
As a graduate here you will work in our Consumer Services and Support IT team (CSS IT) , you’ll be responsible for the development, integration and implementation of the IT systems and tools that are used by HP’s agents, channel partners and supply chain partners to support HP products in the marketplace.

You would operate at a global scale and what we do matters to HP’s employees, partners and customers. We're currently building the next generation of IT systems to support HP's Customers and Partners in every country we do business. You could be helping to manage communication between business and IT functions, serves as the bridge between the two organizations to meet needs and establish and maintain relationships with key tactical leaders and business implementation leads. Whatever your day-to-day role, you’ll gain a valuable insight into the business and strategies of a global company.


Requirements
We’re looking for high achievers who expecting a minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent). Recent graduate in an IT related discipline with a strong understanding of Business Analysis, Project Management, requirements gathering, use case development and test case development. You have a passion for developing global web based business solutions, how they look, feel and what they do. You are a team player with ambitions for leadership; you have strong technical knowledge, process, analytical, and communication skills. You are confident operating in a cross-cultural and geographically dispersed environment and are someone who thrives in a challenging environment that requires flexibility and presents new learning opportunities.

IT Business Consultant
As a graduate here you will work in our Business Engagement Services represents Infrastructure and Operations and partners with each CIO function to manage risk to the production environment, and offer application infrastructure platform solutions for business functions that supports the business outcome.

You will have an opportunity to be the customer advocate and the ambassador of IT Services. This will involve deliver tailored, focused communication according to needs of the business & CIO team and driving initiatives to continually meet or exceed customer expectations. Whatever your day-to-day role, you’ll be working with people across our organization, while gaining a valuable insight into the business and strategies of a global company.

HP Global Real Estate (GRE)

This position is appropriate for a new university graduate with an industrial technology or engineering, business or related degree. The successful candidate will rotate through various real estate and facilities management oriented assignments before being assigned to a permanent position within our Global Real Estate organization.

Requirements

We’re looking for high achievers who are expecting a minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in Real Estate, Facilities, Business, Finance, Project Management, Architecture, Construction Management, Sustainability, Engineering. You don’t have to know about software products, but you will have to know how to use MS Office. A confident communicator, you’ll combine a proactive and enthusiastic attitude with strong time and project management skills.
Qualifications
You’ll need a minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in a computing-related discipline, or a keen, proven interest in IT. Customer-focused, you'll be an enthusiastic and driven team player, combining a proactive and positive outlook with a good work ethic and desire to learn. Experience of excelling in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment would be a real advantage.
