Basic Water Needs (BWN) is a privately held company that produces and supplies Household Water Treatment Solutions (HWTS) to developing countries. We strongly believe in private solutions for global challenges. Our customers include NGOs as well as private customers in the B2B segment. With our headquarters based in the center of Amsterdam, and our factories in Pondicherry, South India and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, we strive to meet our ultimate goal; to make safe drinking water available, affordable and simple in every household. The vacancy
As International Sales Manager you will be responsible for the further expansion of BWN in target countries in Africa and Asia, meeting our challenging targets. You will get a first hand opportunity to create impact and improve people’s lives by creating access to safe drinking water. You will be working in an international environment dealing with different customers and stakeholders.

- Account management
- 25-30% time travelling
- Partnership development
- Revenue and Margin responsibility
- Responsible for order fulfilment
- Expansion of market share for BWN
- Report directly to Managing Director Candidate profile
Candidate profile
- University graduate
- Minimum of 5 years experience in international sales
- Passion for developing countries
- Understanding of NGOs
- Team player
- Stress resistant
- Well travelled (Asia, Africa, BoP countries)
- English mandatory, preferably Dutch and French
- Excellent (inter cultural) communication skills
- Ambitious, flexible and eager to make a social impact
Remuneration
Possibility to work for a fast growing, dynamic, international company in the water field in Africa and Asia. Salary based on prior experience. Bonus will be part of OTE.
