Internal Audit Administrator

Sandvik is currently going through a period of significant change with the aim of building on its many strengths to develop 'One Sandvik' and a truly global organization with a strong corporate culture established in its many operations around the world. In order to do so, Sandvik is now seeking to appoint an Internal Audit Administrator, who will work closely with the Head of Internal Audit and the Global team. This is a new role in Sandvik's Group Assurance team, which will work closely in the development and delivery of a world class Internal Audit capability. The location for the position is Stockholm.
Key performance areas
As Internal Audit Administrator you oversee the day-to-day matters relating to the running of the Internal Audit department and manage Group Assurance budgets and financial reporting.
Your main responsibilities include:
  • Overseeing the development and maintenance of a resourcing schedule by which Group Internal Audit staff are allocated to specific audit assignments
  • Ensuring that letters are sent out to entities selected for audit, advising them that they have been - selected for audit and the timing of that audit
  • Monitoring the clearance of observations by those audited, producing regular reports on observations that have passed their implementation date and/or escalating these to the Head of Internal Audit
  • Dealing with day-to-day matters relating to the running and development of the Internal Audit IT system
  • Producing KPI reports on: Internal Audit reports issued; follow-up of open issues; feedback from those audited; percent of completed planned audits, etc.
  • Assisting Head of Internal Audit in preparation of meetings: PPT and other materials
  • Acting as secretary to the Head of Internal Audit and audit team meetings
  • Planning the annual Group Internal Audit conference
  • Being responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of each functional area within Group Assurance accounting
  • Developing the team budgets in consultation with the Head of each of the Group Assurance functions
  • Monitoring of performance versus budgets, developing monthly financial reports and issuing accurate and timely monthly reports and forecasts to the function heads and the Head of Group Assurance
  • Keeping files of relevant invoices and key contracts with suppliers of services
Your profile
We are looking for someone with knowledge and understanding of financial systems, the components thereof and the application of the system, as well as of Sandvik's Financial Policies and Procedures. You have experience as an administrator working with a globally dispersed team, of project managing office-based tasks and in financial accounting. Fluency in English is a prerequisite for the position and proficiency in other languages is an advantage.
You are able to work on your own initiative, making your own decisions, but knowing when to seek advice. You have project management skills, in the sense of being able to plan matters in good time to meet specific deadlines, and experience of working with senior level people. Further, you have the ability to be assertive, getting things done, while ensuring this is done in a tactful way.
