Job description
·Manage accounting staff along with the full-cycle accounting processes including all AP/AR functions·Document and manage staff performance and goals·Provide direction and oversight to an accounting staff for the maintenance and operational activities of the general ledger·Manage the monthly accounting calendars including fiscal year end, functional management of the accounting system such as journal entry processing, review of accruals, account reconciliations, financial system diagnostic management, and other reporting and analysis required·Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards ·Identify cost savings/process improvements and implement solutions·Maintain and update chart of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts ·Monitors current department accounting systems and procedures and revises as required·Prepares required tax and audit reports and responds to inquiries·Responsible fixed asset physical control and accounting·Responsible for tax and audit schedule preparation
Mission
This position is responsible for managing the accounting team and overseeing the balance sheet and associated treasury functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for oversight and maintenance of the ledger accounts and all financial accounting in compliance with company standards
Experience requirements
·Minimum of 5 years general accounting experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial statements·Requires Supervisory Experience
Knowledge
·Working knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems, preferably in a manufacturing environment·Excellent technical, oral, and written communication skills·Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Educational requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from a four year accredited college or universityCPA a plus
