Could you help us to enhance the student experience at Scottish universities?
The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) reviews universities and colleges throughout the UK to safeguard academic standards and enhance the quality of the student experience. QAA Scotland is a partner in the Quality Enhancement Framework, leading on enhancement-led review work and activities to develop and support the curriculum.

We are looking for an Assistant Director to work with us for a fixed period to 9 June 2015, primarily managing reviews of university sector institutions in Scotland. The role demands a detailed working knowledge of quality assurance in UK higher education (including the UK Quality Code for Higher Education) and, ideally, extensive knowledge of the Scottish enhancement-led approach, which you will have gained in a senior academic or professional administrative post. In order to be a credible review leader, you will be well organised, capable of making sound judgements under pressure, and have excellent written and presentation skills.
The post holder will work from the QAA Scotland office in Glasgow, although the post involves travel throughout the UK and perhaps beyond.

The post is being offered on a fractional basis at 0.6 full time equivalent It may be suitable for secondment, sabbatical or career break. When considering applications for secondment or sabbatical the salary, including VAT costs, should fall within the salary range.
