OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME :
UNITAID's mission is to contribute to scale-up of access to treatment for HIV/AIDs, malaria and tuberculosis for people in developing countries by leveraging price reduction for quality drugs and diagnostics and accelerating the pace at which they are made available.
Description of duties:
1. Define and consolidate the data requirements, including revision of LogFrames and indicators, for each cross-cutting and market entry grant funded by UNITAID;
2. Facilitate portfolio team in grant negotiation and documentation on EB19 approved PQ proposal;
3. Provide assistance to implementers on new Board approved KPIs and associated indicators for new proposals to UNITAID that falls under cross-cutting definition of proposals and support portfolio managers in assessing such new proposals;
4. Support the cross-cutting consultant to keep track of the progress of each cross-cutting (including PQ and MPP), and market entry grant, including follow-up with implementers where and when necessary to ensure that grants are on-track;
5. Provide technical assistance and training to implementers, including the Medicines Patent Pool Foundation, to provide their contractually agreed reports on-line to UNITAID using the on-line reporting tool;
6. Support the production of UNITAID dashboard, including to the Executive Board, on programmatic activities related to the cross-cutting and market entry grants, especially where they relate to measuring UNITAID's Key Performance Indicators;
7. Provide assistance to portfolio team in the analysis and reporting of product related data from Implementers, including updating UNIPRO on product related performance in the markets;
8. Provide assistance to the M&E Officer to gather and display data to report on the KPIs 2013-2016; and
9. Assist with any other duties as specified by the Coordinator of Operations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Essential:
University degree in business, economics or related field.

Skills: 
Good analytical skills (business, functional and system analysis).
Good knowledge of SQL, MS Systems, particularly MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Good knowledge of database design, and user interface design.
Ability to programme in a statistical package.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.
Ability to work as part of a team and experience in producing technical documents.
Ability to establish effective working relationships with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.

Experience:
Essential:
A minimum of 2 years of experience, at national and/or international level in data analysis, including monitoring, project management and reporting.
Desirable:
Knowledge of and experience in financial analysis and quantitative data analysis.
Languages:
Expert knowledge of English and French is required.

Annual salary: (Net of tax)
USD 46819 at single rate
USD 49'916 with primary dependants
Post Adjustment: 103.3 % of the above figure(s). This percentage is to be considered as indicative since variations may occur each month either upwards or downwards due to currency exchange rate fluctuations or inflation.
