Amstelfarma in Heemstede is looking for a Strategic Procurement Specialist (FT).
Summary
You are responsible for the strategic procurement processes, creation and development of strategic alliances and partnerships with existing and new suppliers. You will support the sales department in tenders and other activities by negotiating the best purchasing conditions with manufacturers and suppliers in China/India and Europe based on given price and delivery targets.
Within this position, a considerable responsibility will be a project in initiating registration processes of pharmaceuticals in selected countries in Africa. The first phase will be to explore the potential per country using a SWOT analyses. After creating business cases per product and/or country, a strategy will be developed. Travelling outside Europe can be part of this job.

Profile
We are looking for an energetic, social colleague who is a team player and capable of switching between different departments and multiple tasks. Besides being result driven, proactive, stress resistant and internationally orientated, you are fluent in English and Dutch, other languages like Spanish, French or Portuguese are a plus. - Commercial talent
- Bachelor/Master working and thinking level (HBO/WO)
- Negotiation skills, perseverance, courage and confidence are essential characteristics
- Familiar with international procurement processes
- Capable of planning, organizing and dealing with tight deadlines
- Knowledge of registration processes for drugs in Africa is a big plus
- Familiar with international trade
- Willingness to take ownerships for delegated tasks

The commercial department holds office in Heemstede near Schiphol and Amsterdam and our warehouse is based in Lelystad. The total number of employees is 21, divided of the two locations. Your base location will be the commercial department in Heemstede.
