Research Manager, Quantitative

An exciting opportunity for BBC Media Action has become available, we are recruiting for a Quantitative Research Manager in London to work across a range of projects delivering research in Africa, Asia, Middle East and Europe. BBC Media Action is the independent international charity of the BBC which uses media to advance development worldwide. 

Role Responsibility

Within this role you will be advising on the design and implementation of large-scale quantitative surveys across multiple countries including multi-country indicators and analysis.
You will advise on the design and implementation of other research techniques such as use of quasi-experimental design.
It will be your responsibility to develop systematic and comparable technical approaches to quantitative design including sampling, research instruments and analysis plans; data analysis including interpretation and dissemination across a range of projects.
You will advise peers and in-country staff on all aspects of quantitative research.
You will be tasked with leading on improving internal procedures and documentation with regards to quantitative research e.g. commissioning of agencies, analysis specifications.
You will plan and monitor quantitative research resource needs, including creation and input into Gantt charts and research, project and programme plans, and budget oversight.

The Ideal Candidate

You will have advanced quantitative data analysis using SPSS, including factor analysis, ANOVAs, multivariate (logistic, OSL regression) and segmentation techniques.
Strong basic quantitative data analysis using SPSS, such as Chi-squared tests, t-tests, confidence intervals are important within this
You will have experience in sampling design for large-scale population surveys, including multi-country studies.
Knowledge of self-weighting sampling approaches and statistical power and procession calculations are key in this role

Salary -   £34,709 - £52,750 (Depending on Experience) 
Location -  London
