Regional Grant Acquisition & Management Program Officer

The Regional Grant Acquisition & Management Program Officerwill generate grant income for World Vision Germany (WVG) by working with a selected group of National Offices (NOs) in East Asia (Cambodia, Mongolia, Vietnam and Myanmar) and the South Asia and Pacific [Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Pacific Timor Leste (PTL) and Bangladesh] to monitor the donor ‘Donors’: EU: e.g. EC Delegation, EuropeAid, ECHO, European Foundation’s German Government: e.g. BMZ, AA, Embassy, KFW Multilaterals funding environment, engage donors at operational and strategic level, support the proposal development process, and build operational and strategic capacity in grant acquisition and management.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Identify donor priorities for region & countries.
  • Develop clear understanding of donor expectations regarding proposal submission & project implementation.
  • Build relationships and credibility with relevant donors at the national & regional level, using previous success and documented best practices in grant management.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate communication and coordination of stakeholders throughout the proposal development process.
REQUIRED SKILLS INCLUDE:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Ability to motivate multi-stakeholder teams and inspire teamwork.
  • Ability to manage donor expectations.
  • Strong budgetary and financial management skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently.
  • 3-5 years relevant experience, specifically in writing winning proposals.
  • Significant experience in project management and grant compliance procedures.
