Project Assistant GM BOM Workstream

In 2013, Plan International started a major change journey, reviewing its entire business operating model to more closely align the organisation with our ‘One Plan, One Goal’ strategy. The change journey represents a substantial and critical change vehicle that is integral to delivering the One Plan One Goal strategy. It will help make Plan a more relevant well-coordinated collaborative organisation, delivering increased and effective programmes, supported by more resources flowing through to programmes.

Working directly with the Project Lead – Grants Change Programme, you’ll be supporting the development and implementation of new Grant Management policies and procedures for the Plan Federation. Supporting the successful design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of the Grants Management workstream. Supporting the Project Lead to identify and resolve issues affecting workstream delivery, as well as to identify and mitigate against material risks, with a view to minimizing uncertainty for the workstream and Programme as a whole .Working with other Project stakeholders to identify and manage constraints and interdependencies
Working with Project Lead, PMO and Communications to provide consistent reporting and updating of workstream plans, progress, findings and recommendations

Knowledge

Experience in working in an INGO environment
Knowledge of grant management reporting, systems, standards and structures
Knowledge of capacity development and knowledge transfer methodologies
Demonstrable ability to define a project approach and identify the key factors and constraints
Knowledge and competence in identifying risks and mitigation processes
Fluency in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Successful delivery of projects in a multi-national, multi-lingual organisational environment
Exposure to change management, communications and culture frameworks

Type of Role:  Fixed Term contract 12 months
Location:  Plan International Headquarters , Woking, Surrey alternative locations will be considered where Plan have an office.

Salary :  £40,476 - £44,974
Grade: 4
